BBC World Sri Lanka's Nayana Miracle Peiris Jayakody has been named among the 100 Most Influential and Motivating Women in the World to be published annually.
She is a renowned fashion designer.
After returning home from work in 2000, Mrs. Miracle Peiris lost her eyesight after being wounded by a terrorist bombing in Rajagiriya. The blast killed 46 people. She was HSBC bombed. She was working at the bank.
She lost her eyesight and did not give up on her life and became an internationally renowned fashion designer. Nayana Miracle Peiris Jayakody has achieved many dreams of becoming a fashion designer.
Miracle Peiris also reached the final round of the 'Top Model Designer of the Year' competition.
Miracle Peiris is currently engaged in encouraging women in addition to the design industry. Miracle Peiris helps young women to achieve their dreams, and encourages them to pursue their career as well as personal life.
